While nothing beats a beach day in Myrtle Beach, sometimes the weather doesn't want to let you soak up the sun. And while you can always go see a movie or visit the mall, sometimes you want something more fun to do on a stormy afternoon.

Below you'll find the 5 best and most popular indoor activities for a rainy day in Myrtle Beach. We've also included reviews for each activity, so that you can see why people loved their experiences so much.

Enjoy!

1. Ripley's Aquarium of Myrtle Beach

"So, of all the things we had planned on our SC vacation, I did not expect to like the Ripley's offerings as much as I did. Honestly, I thought they'd be cheesy, but I am happy to say I was very wrong. Our family of 8 adults thoroughly enjoyed the aquarium, mini-golf, and mirror maze."

"I thought each element was very well done and reasonably priced (we did the "Select 3" package). I would visit all of these sites again as the quality of them reminded me of how well Disney does things (only, of course, this was Ripley's)."

2. Hollywood Wax Museum

"Our first time in South Carolina. We visited the wax museum on a rainy day when we arrived. It was worth going to. Do the pass that includes the mirror area and the haunted area as well."

"We were nervous to go into the haunted area, but do it. I would not recommend for children. The mirror portion of the museum is actually kind of fun and amazing once you are in there, touring around. I give the wax museum a thumbs up."

3. Myrtle Beach Pinball Museum

"What a great time we all had at the Myrtle Beach Pinball Museum. A real flashback to old school gaming. Limiting the number of attendees ensures that everyone has access to pinball machines."

"And it’s all the more worthwhile knowing that the machines are the owner’s personal collection and that the money he makes goes to children’s charities. Get there and make your own Pinball Wizard dreams come true."

4. Tanger Outlets Myrtle Beach (Hwy 17)

"We always stop by Tanger Outlets when we come to Myrtle Beach. I can personally say that I have never failed to find some INCREDIBLE bargains every time that we come here. If I'm not buying my wife every handbag in COACH, I am losing my mind...buying golf/football gear in Under Armour."

"These are but a few of the stores that we always visit when we come here. Full Disclosure: As a Northerner who spent all of his childhood summers down South, I personally also LOVE the Southern Hospitality that has always been a part of this particular outlet."

5. Wheels of Yesteryear

"Took my wife and 20-year-old son to Wheels of Yesteryear, and it was a great experience. The Manager Craig was super knowledgeable, and coincidentally, we shared the same first name. There was a nice collection of classic cars, including a 1986 Buick Grand National, which was my high school age dream car."

"They have a small store where you can purchase apparel or die-cast collectibles. Unfortunately, I couldn't find my size for the shirt I wanted, but other than that, we had a great time. If you are a classic car junky, this is your place. A variety of Makes, but being a Mopar Man, I was in Heaven."
