1. Carolina Shores RV Resort

"We snagged Spot 847 on Sea Beggars Lane (but hey, no hogging it now—it’s a gem!) with plenty of room to set up our hippie campsite, complete with tapestries waving in the salty breeze and crab lines in the water."

"The lots are super spacious and clean, with some nice shady spots to hide from the sun when needed. Access to the beach is a total win—just a short hop away."

"Bathrooms? Oh, they’re sparkly clean—though a heads-up: we did get some bleach spots on a few clothes. Guess that’s the price for squeaky clean!"

"Shoutout to the staff for letting us in after hours—after a day of epic car drama, we rolled in late and they still welcomed us with a smile."

"Tons of fun amenities, but my absolute fave was the late evening golf cart cruise—sunset on the move, baby!"

2. Myrtle Beach Travel Park

"An amazing campground. Spacious RV sites, each with a gazebo over the picnic table. A huge campground, nicely laid out, and with an incredible pool area with a lazy river. A 2-minute walk to a beautiful beach! Indoor and outdoor pools, activities, game room, general store."

"Highly recommend Myrtle Beach Travel Park. We took our RV, but you can rent one there. They are located on the beach. Our RV was a 2-minute walk. The pool was nice and clean, and they had lots of activities. It is located close to Walmart and Tanger Outlet, and you can walk if you want. We will definitely be going back."

3. Lakewood Camping Resort

"We have been coming to this resort for over 20 years and have always found it to be excellent. On our most recent trip, we had an issue with a food order at the Trading Post. During a very busy time, after waiting for almost an hour, we were told our order was lost. We simply got a refund, and I commented on the website how disappointing this incident was."

"Within three hours, I had a phone call from a staff member apologizing and offering to bring us our choice of breakfast on Easter Sunday. They were there on Easter morning with our order. That is truly going above and beyond. I can highly recommend this resort! My 7-year-old grandson loves it!"

"Love it! So much to do...never have to leave the campground if you don't want to! Ice cream, beach, water slides, food, pool, boats, fishing, golf carts...."

4. Hideaway RV Resort

"We had a lovely visit to this beautiful park. Spacious level sites with plenty of elbow room between neighbors. The park is up against the Intracoastal Waterway, and we had fun watching the big sailboats migrating north for the summer! And lots of birdwatching in the green space of the park."

"The bathrooms are well maintained with a private full bathroom and shower. Good water pressure and hot water!"

"Highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area!"

5. Briarcliffe RV Resort

"This RV park is kept up very well. It was too chilly for us to partake in the pool, but the pool facility is very nice. The people here are so friendly, it is just amazing. Our lot was long (40 ft rig) with a cement pad."

"It is gated, and you are issued a key card to return. About half of the park is park homes. There is gated access to walk to the back part of Barefoot Landing. Golf carts are common. There is a dog park which is adequate for small to medium dogs. I would wholeheartedly recommend this park."
