Myrtle Beach's 2025 Hurricane season has arrived. The season started on June 1 and will last through November 30.

The Atlantic is expected to face another above-average hurricane season this year. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicts that the Grand Strand area could see multiple storms, flooding, and more.

During the 2024 hurricane season, 18 named storms took shape in the Atlantic. Of those 18 storms, 11 went on to become hurricanes. 5 of those 11 were major hurricanes.

It's worth noting that an average hurricane season produces 14 named storms, 7 hurricanes, and 3 major hurricanes.
