The cause of death of Mica Miller, the wife of South Carolina pastor John-Paul Miller, has finally been revealed.

Miller died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Her cause of death was confirmed by Dr. Richard Johnson, the Robeson County Medical Examiner, per WPDE. She was 30 years old at the time of her passing.

“Based on the nature of the wound, it is consistent with a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” Dr. Johnson stated. “And it was not in the back of the head, as it has been speculated.”

The Robeson County Sheriff's Office confirmed they were aware of these findings in a statement on Facebook.

“Sheriff Burnis Wilkins has scheduled a meeting with the family of Mica and will be releasing more detailed information to substantiate the medical examiner's findings tomorrow evening,” the statement reads.

In an affidavit filed by her sister, Sierra Francis, Mica claimed that if she were ever found dead that John-Paul would most likely be responsible.

“Mica stated to me on many occasions, ‘If I end up with a bullet in my head, it was not by me, it was JP,” her sister stated.
