Two people are facing charges after Myrtle Beach police claim officers were shot at during a car chase.

17-year-old Riley Pegram and 20-year-old Omarion Glass, both of North Carolina, are facing multiple charges following the incident. Police claim a traffic stop turned into a chase, and they were eventually shot at, but no injuries occurred.

One Market Common resident, Rachel Stoudemire, witnessed the incident. She shared her experience with WMBF.

“I was just walking my dog before work in Market Common, and I heard what I thought was a lot of gunshots. Then, minutes later, I saw, I counted, it was fourteen cop cars that came by my house,” Stoudenmire stated.

“Nothing really more than, like, a car break-in or something like that that I’ve heard about in the neighborhood, so certainly, a high-speed chase at eight o’clock in the morning was a little different.”

Anyone with information about the case is urged to call the Myrtle Beach Police Department at 843-918-1382.
